Acrylic plate chemical name called poly methyl methacrylate. It's an important optical plastic, good comprehensive performance and optical properties, transparency can be comparable with optical glass, almost can not absorb the full band of visible light, transmittance >91%, good luster, light and strong, good molding processing, chemical resistance and weather resistance, can be used as optical lens and industrial lens.

PC board impact resistance toughness (thermoplastic first), high heat resistance, cold resistance is also very good, bending resistance, tensile strength and nylon, high elongation and elastic modulus, good dimensional stability, wear resistance and nylon, corrosion resistance, high transparency, but easy to produce cracking. Often used to make gears, bearings, colorless transparent PC can be used to manufacture aircraft, car windshield. In particular,  new production of endurance plate, sunshine board, PC board, PC sunshine board, PC endurance board in line with the relevant standards of the national plate.

Both board are transparent plastic, in the case of the same thickness, the same raw material particles, acrylic plate higher 2-3% than PC light transmittance  , close to 90%, the naked eye is not easy to distinguish. However, because they are two kinds of materials, there are four differences:

1)heat resistance, temperature resistance, weather resistance: acrylic plate to 70 degrees is easy to soften, and PC is 120 degrees, so PC is more heat resistance, working temperature application is more widely

2) impact resistance, impact resistance, strength index: the same thickness, PC impact strength is 30-50 times of acrylic plate, 6 mm PC plate is bulletproof material, 3 mm PC plate ordinary adults with a hammer can not be broken.

3)fire resistance, fire resistance: PC is flame retardant material, belongs to B grade flame retardant (international is UL94-V2 grade), one of the self-extinguishing plastics, is not easy to burn, and acrylic plate is not flame retardant.

4）environmental protection: PC belongs to environmental protection plastic, and some of the physical properties of acrylic plate is not up to, so some foreign fields have eliminated the application of acrylic plate, domestic will slowly spread, although China is a big acrylic plate, but the production of high value-added acrylic plate is very few, are dependent on imports.
